Naomi Sutton is a textile artist and creative director.
Sutton grew up on a small hobby farm in rural Minnesota where her grandmother introduced her to handcrafting techniques. She received her BFA in Printmaking from Curtain University in Perth, Western Australia and her MFA in Fashion and Textile Design from Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Sutton's collection showed at the Fall 2010 Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park. All textiles in the collection were hand drawn and printed by the artist.
Inspired by the outdoors and continuous travels, she has made short term homes around the world including Perth, Australia, Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, Nantucket, Massachusetts and Antiqua, Guatemala.
Sutton currently resides in Los Angeles and teaches at Academy of Art University, Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and Art Institute.
